This is a portrait of the great Cuban singer Ibrahim Ferrer. I am quite happy with the way it turned out. I find myself listening to his music quite often when I paint, so I only found it fitting to paint him. He's the first male addition to my gallery.

I thought this was a photo when I first saw it, great job, very smooth looking, and the colors are perfect, they really give it a Cuban feel.

And you do males just as well. I am a musica latina fan but I'm not familiar with Cuban Music...or more specifically this singer.

Absolutely love the colors and tones in this piece. The characterization is spot-on and very lifelike. Almost has a pastel feel to it, is this digital?

Absolutely beautifull! Consider painting 'unpretty' people more often - your dreamy brush strokes show the whole beauty of rough lines and raw colours on their faces. When you paint already beautifull women, they look like thousands of other paintings, but when your subject is 'ugly' you know how to make it living and amazingly beautifull. Your style shines on that one. You have my fav.
